ABOUT THE BOOK: This book, ZOOLOGY (Vol. 3) is written for undergraduate Zoology Honours students following the UGC-recommended curriculum under the NEP Syllabus of various universities. This is a comprehensive book written in a lucid style and point-wise manner presenting the subject matter with theoretical discussions, numerous black & white / colour diagrams, flowcharts, and tables along with long and short questions in the exercise of each chapter.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dr. Ajoy Paul has been the Professor-in-Charge at Chakdaha College, affiliated to the University of Kalyani, West Bengal, India, and taught there as an Associate Professor since 1981. He started his research work in Immunology and earned his Ph.D. in Cytogenetics at Department of Zoology from the University of Kalyani in 1994. Dr. Paul always had a keen interest in teaching as well as research. Over the years, he has taught courses in general zoology, immunology, molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics, and microbiology. He had published several research papers and articles in many journals and delivered lectures in the seminars. He had been elected to Fellowships in the International Congress of Chemistry and Environment, International Society of Biotechnology and the Zoological Society of Eastern India. Besides this book, he is also the author of “Textbook of Cell and Molecular Biology” and “Textbook of Genetics : From Genes to Genomes” and also five other textbooks on Environmental studies for undergraduate courses of Indian Universities.
