ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dr. Pijus Kanti Samanta, M.Sc. (IIT-Kharagpur), Ph.D. (IIT-Kharagpur), is an exemplary teacher and an eminent scholar in the area of nanoscience and nanotechnology. He has been pursuing his research in this realm for the last 15 years, with an outcome of 6 international books and 70 research articles in various international journals of high repute. Notably, he is the recipient of the University Gold Medal, Dr. N.C. Rana Memorial Gold Medal and JRF (UGC-CSIR & IIT Kharagpur). He was affiliated with IUPAC, USA during 2012-2013. He accomplished two projects funded by UGC-DAE and also guided research scholars. He is presently working as an Associate Professor of Physics (UG & PG ), Prabhat Kumar College, Contai, Purba Medinipur.
