ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dr. Chinmoy Taraphdar presently holds the position of Associate Professor of Physics at Bankura Christian College, Bankura, West Bengal. He earned his Master’s degree in Physics with distinction from Calcutta University in 1989, securing the second position in his class. In the same year, he successfully qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET) under CSIR. Furthering his academic pursuits, Dr. Taraphdar completed his Post M.Sc. Course Work on “Compound Nuclear Reaction” at the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), Salt Lake, Bidhannagar, West Bengal, in 1991. Continuing his academic achievements, he again qualified for NET under UGC in 1997 and SLET under WBCSC in the same year. His dedication to research culminated in the award of a Ph.D. degree on June 4, 2012, for his work on “Studies on the Development of all-optical circuits in reversible and three-valued logic systems: in the field of Optical Computing from WBUT (now Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, MAKAUT, West Bengal). He has been an integral part of the academic landscape since 1990, contributing significantly to the field through the active facilitation of the teaching-learning process. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to National Economic and Social Development, he received the prestigious ‘Vidya Ratan Award for Best Performance’ from The Economic for Health and Educational Growth in New Delhi on October 7, 2017. Additionally, he has authored the book “Classical Mechanics” (Asian Books Publication) for Degree Honors Level.
