ABOUT THE BOOK: Applied Statistics is a sequel to my book Mathematical Statistics, and covers the following topics: Analysis of Variance and Design of Experiments, Economic Statistics and Time Series, Industrial Statistics, Vital Statistics and Demography, Statistical Methods in Psychometry and Educational Statistics. Statistics has become a major tool of research in different natural, physical and social sciences. The book is intended for Postgraduate and Undergraduate students majoring in Statistics, Mathematics, Agricultural Sciences, Management Sciences, Economics, Engineering, and other Applied Sciences. The prerequisite for reading this book is a basic knowledge of mathematics and calculus. Theoretical discussions have been illustrated with a large number of examples at each step and supplemented by sets of exercises.
