ABOUT THE BOOK: ADVANCED ORGANIC REACTION MECHANISM provides an up-to-date and comprehensive account of the structural and mechanistic concepts of organic chemistry. The book covers a wide area leading the students to a solid understanding of the basics of organic reaction mechanism by solving problems. Included are problems on fundamental principles, aliphatic nucleophilic substitution, elimination reactions, electrophilic and nucleophilic addition to carbon-carbon multiple bonds, nucleophilic addition to the carbonyl group, electrophilic and nucleophilic aromatic substitution, molecular rearrangements, and pericyclic reactions. It is an indispensable book for the students at the undergraduate level (Hons./Major) and for those preparing for competitive examinations such as Joint UGC-CSIR Eligibility Test (NET), SET, GATE, JAM, JEST, etc.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dr. Nimai Tewari, is the former Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, Katwa College, Katwa (Burdwan), West Bengal. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Calcutta. He has published several research papers in national and international journals. His research interest includes Organic Synthesis and Heterocyclic Chemistry. Dr. Tewari has authored two other books: Advanced Organic Reaction Mechanism and Advanced Organic Chemistry (Organic Synthesis & Biomolecules) also published by Books and Allied (P) Ltd.
