ABOUT THE BOOK: Advanced Organic Reaction Mechanism provides an up-to-date and comprehensive account of the structural and mechanistic concepts of organic chemistry. The book covers a wide area leading the students to a solid understanding of the basics of organic reaction mechanism by solving problems. Keeping in mind that the large volume of this book containing eight chapters was difficult to physically handle due to its thickness and weight, the book and its contents have now been separated into two volumes - Volume 1 and Volume 2. The first four chapters (1. Fundamental Principles; 2. Aliphatic nucleophilic substitution, 3. Elimination Reaction and 4. Electrophilic and nucleophilic addition to carbon-carbon multiple bond) are included in Volume 1 and the last four chapters (5. Nucleophilic Addition to Carbonyl Group, 6. Electrophilic and Nucleophilic Aromatic Substitution, 7. Molecular Rearrangements and 8. Pericyclic Reactions) are included in Volume 2. These are indispensable books for the students at the undergraduate level (Hons./Major) and for those preparing for competitive examinations such as National Eligibility Test (NET), SET, GATE, JAM, etc.
