ABOUT THE AUTHORS:

Dr. Subrata Mandal, Senior Scientist & Head, Rathindra Krishi Vigyan Kendra (RKVK), Palli- Siksha Bhavana (Institute Of Agriculture), Visva Bharati, Sriniketan has more than 21years of experience in teaching, research and extension in Agriculture, basically on Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science and Plant Protection. He has guided Ph.D. students, and published 5 books, 6 book chapters, and more than 43 research papers in National and International journals and also presented 33 papers in Conferences, Seminars, Workshops. He has been awarded the Young Scientist Award by the Society of Krishi Vigyan and ICAR-CIFA.

Dr. Sudipa Nag (Mandal), Associate Professor and former Head, Department of Botany, Rampurhat College, Rampurhat, Birbhum has 19 years of experience in teaching and research she was also an examiner and paper setter of B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. courses in different Universities. She was awarded Gouri Devi Silver Medal in B.Sc. and Gold Medal in M.Sc. from the University of Burdwan. She published more than 27 research papers in National and International Journals, 2 books, and more than 5 book chapters.

Alokesh Das is an Assistant Professor of Botany Department, Rampurhat College, Rampurhat, Birbhum, and former Head of that department, having 6 years of experience in teaching. He has published 9 research papers in National and International journals. Presently he is engaged in research work on Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Anatomy, and Photochemistry.
