ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dr. Jyotirmoy Sen completed his schooling at Sodepur High School and Banga High School. He attended Presidency College in 1970 and Calcutta University in 1980. He was a Senior Research Fellow at Calcutta University. He has taught at Malda Zilla School, Malda Women's College, Siliguri College, and North Bengal St. Xavier's College. Currently, he is an Honourary Professor of the Geography Department (P.G.) of Siliguri College. He is also a Councilor at Netaji Subhas Open University. He has published over 40 research papers and participated in 5 research projects.
