ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dr. Shyam Sarkar has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Ananda Mohan College, Kolkata, affiliated with the University of Calcutta, since 2015. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at Sripat Singh College, Jiaganj, and the University of Kalyani, Nadia, respectively. Dr. Sarkar earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata, working under the mentorship of Prof. Venkataramanan Mahalingam. To further his academic pursuits, he undertook postdoctoral research at the University of Twente in the Netherlands, under the guidance of Prof. Jurriaan Huskens. Dr. Sarkar has a distinguished record of academic and research contributions, having published 24 peer-reviewed articles in international journals. He is also the author of two textbooks.
